Since our requirement was majorly around the IPS, App Control, VPN and Load Balancing, in the first two parameters (IPS & App Control), WiJungle stood beyond the traditional players and in the last two (VPN, Load Balancing), the functions and performance were too at par with any other giant. Our team tried to gather reviews via internet and had a tech session with their team and further conducted the PoC for a month. We took feedback from few of our empaneled SIs and some of them expressed concerns as they were not aware about the product performance. However, person was quite consistent with his follow ups to have a technical session and conduct PoC. WiJungle sales associate reached out to us and after knowing them as a new & innovative entrant, we were very suspicious about the product maturity. Overall SonicWall TZ is a very good all in one small form factor firewall for my environment. The dual power supply also minimize the failure rate of the box, and it make me feel more comfortable if there is no technical person in site.Īnd i also need to SonicWall run as a Wifi controller to control my SonicWave. The new TZ support micro USB cable for console login, it is also very friendly, we don't need to find the unique console cable for immediate troubleshoot. Tunnel starts ok from the ASA but if the Checkpoint tries to start the tunnel, the ASA denies the connection since the encryption domain it is receiving includes the outside addresses of both firewalls instead of the internal hosts (debug crypto ipsec 250). My only interest is in being able to create and apply security policies. My impression has been that the devices are equivalent to Edge appliances. It was sold to me as a Checkpoint device, it has a Checkpoint sticker on it, comes in a Checkpoint box, and I have a Checkpoint support contract for it.Īnd my reseller is under the impression that it can be integrated with my SmartCenter server. In my case, I have what I now know is called a Sofaware device. > You know, I'd always wondered what the functional differences wereĪssuming of course, there is a way to find out beyond plugging in one of each. > and treat them as a 3rd party VPN device. You need to set boxes up as a interoperable devices Edge devices can be managed by a SCS, but the sofaware boxes
